30 Aug 01 WOMEN’S MUSEUM. TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14TH 6.00PM
AMUM and the Federation of University Women of Mexico invite us to an exciting walk through this museum institution destined to make visible the historical work of women in the development and construction of Mexico.
Within the framework of our Hispanic-Speaking Cultural Bridge twinning program, to which the Federations of University Women of Bolivia, Spain, Mexico, Panama and Paraguay belong, we will visit the Museum of Women of Mexico, a center for the dissemination of a new culture of equity and respect for the Human Rights of women.
The Museum of Women, inaugurated on March 8, 2011, aims to review the history of Mexico with a gender perspective, from pre-Hispanic times to the present time. This pioneering project that adds history, education and culture, was conceived, developed and launched by the university historian Patricia Galeana Herrera, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, who in addition to being the director of the campus is the curator and creator of the museum script. The conference will take place on Zoom and will also be broadcast live through the YouTube channel of the Puente Cultural de Habla Hispana.
