GWI YMN CELEBRATES FIVE YEARS
In a remarkable celebration of progress and camaraderie, the GWI YMN celebrated its 5th anniversary with an enlightening interactive session on 26 July. Founded during GWI’s centenary celebrations in Geneva in 2019, the network has thrived, significantly impacting its members and the wider GWI membership community. GWI YMN keynote speaker Sudha Srivastava led attendees through a comprehensive overview of the network’s history, mission and founding activities, illustrating its substantial growth and ambitious plans for the future. The highlight of the session was undoubtedly the candid reflections shared by some of the young founding members, along with insights from newer members who have joined in the last five years. Moderated by Cynthia Adinortey of the Ghana University Women’s Association and Tzazil Valentia of the Mexican Federation of University Women, their stories underlined the dynamic and transformative journey of the YMN, reinforcing the collective spirit and dedication that promises to propel the network to new heights in the years to come. Here’s to five years of making a difference!
