OUR SCHOLARSHIPS GIRLS

Marina has been able to combine her great hobby, and what her physique is gifted for, with helping others based on her immense knowledge of the human body and its movements: she continues to compete in athletics at a national level! and works as a physiotherapist.

My name is Marina Portela Carreras and I received the AMUM scholarship in 2018.

At that time it was clear to me that my vital purpose was to help people. I was always closely related to sports. In those days I was in the Ciudad de Marbella Athletics Club and now I am in Madrid competing at national level in 400 meters.

As a result of my interest in sports and health I decided to start my career studying physiotherapy.

The AMUM scholarship helped me a lot in those first moments to be able to study in Madrid. A city with many opportunities for student and work knowledge.For the last couple of years I have been working as a physiotherapist in a medical clinic bringing health to my patients day by day.

I keep training myself in different topics related to health and I feel that I am completely on my way.

I will always be grateful to this association for supporting young people like me who want to undertake in difficult times.
