LITERARY GATHERING

COSIMA

by Grazia Deledda

Monday 15 July at 18:30

Marbella Club

We will discuss Cosima (Nórdica Libros, 2007, 224 pages) by the Italian author Grazia Deledda, winner of the 1926 Nobel Prize for Literature. Published posthumously, in this work the author takes us to the culture and landscapes of her native Sardinia. But it also tells us about the rebelliousness of a young woman with a desire for freedom and knowledge in a strongly patriarchal society. It encourages thought and debate.

Welcome!

FUE LA MANO DE DIOS

Paolo Sorrentino

Tuesday 30 July, at 19:00

Hapimag Resort Marbella

Camilo José Cela, 17

“The Hand of God” is not about football, Maradona and his goal is a splendid anecdote of the Neapolitan passion towards this football player. It does talk about a unique and incredible family, about unforgettable characters that are strongly bond to the city’s beat, about youth’s memories, joys, sorrows, hope… Sorrentino translates feelings into beautiful images and gives the viewer a great story that, thinking about it carefully, is actually two stories in one. High-quality cinema that we must not miss.

Back then, I was very clear that I wanted to be a police officer and much of my life had been spent preparing for it, signing up for martial arts classes, reading criminology books, and focusing on getting good grades since criminology has a high cut-off score.

WOMEN IN THE BACKROUND OF HISTORY

AMALIA LÓPEZ CABRERA (1838-1899)

She learned the photographic technique from the Count of Lipa, a friend of the artist Juan Daguerre, and became the first woman to practice the profession of photographer in Spain, since it was usual for the wives and daughters of photographers to work in the laboratory but not to drive. the camera, controlled the photographic process and signed their works.
