We will be discussing Cartas de Maruja Mallo (Renacimiento, 2025, 324 pages), edited by and with an introduction by Guillermo de Osma. A collection of 121 letters written by the great Galician artist throughout her life, from before the Civil War, through her exile in Chile and, above all, in Buenos Aires, right up to her return to Spain in the 1960s.
A book that constitutes “a fabulous source for understanding just how much she believed in herself and the lucid perspective she had on her work”. Mallo and her letters are sure to spark some very interesting debate.
