Series: Love and Heartbreak in Iranian Cinema
We are delighted to invite you to this new film forum session, dedicated to Iranian cinema!
The film tells the story of a middle-class Iranian couple who separate, and the complications that arise after the husband hires a lower-class caregiver to look after his father.
Asghar Farhadi wrote the screenplay based on both fictional elements and a range of personal experiences. The film was produced after a brief ban on its shooting, following political comments made by the director criticizing certain actions of the Iranian government.
