CINE FORUM
CENTRAL STATION OF BRAZIL
Thursday, 2 October at 6:30 p.m.
At the home of Eloísa Sánchez-Amillategui
Cycle: Ibero-American Cinema
With this film, Central Station of Brazil, Walter Salles invites us to discover a Brazil where there is no samba, no spectacular beaches, no tourist attractions. It tells marginal stories through the masterfully handled relationship between a boy searching for his father and a retired teacher who scrapes by writing letters for a living. We won’t reveal any more. We’ll just remind you that it’s a great story. We hope to see you there.
We will watch the film, discuss it – it has a lot to say – and finish with a delicious snack prepared by everyone.
As always, we would appreciate a minimum donation of €15, which will go towards our Scholarship Fund.
Couples and friends are also welcome. We have row 0 available for those who cannot attend.
