SUPPORTING EDUCATION AT EVERY LEVEL
GWI’s Girls Education for Brighter Futures project supports education at several stages of life, from helping girls stay in school to giving women opportunities to develop new skills. Its GlobalGiving progress reports show how donor contributions, including monthly gifts, support locally led projects and GWI’s advocacy for safe access to quality education. GWI also works at the international level to keep girls’ education and lifelong learning on the policy agenda. Together, community projects and advocacy address both immediate barriers to learning and the wider conditions that determine whether women and girls can continue their education.
The GWI Bina Roy project, launched and run by its members in response to the specific needs of each community, addresses issues such as literacy, support for menstrual hygiene, digital training, health education, and other initiatives aimed at increasing educational opportunities for women and girls.
Donations also help to champion the right to education through the tabling of motions at ECOSOC and participation in UN consultative sessions, where policies promoting women’s access to education and lifelong learning are advocated.
Thank you for your contributions!
